All the relationships between the variables inside the blocks are written taking into account the International Standard Unit (meter for length, kilogram for mass and second for time), so each input or output line refers to a congruent value: the flows are expressed in m³/s, the pressures in Pa (N/m²), the position in metre or in radians. To obtain more familiar unit it is necessary insert a ‘Unit Conversion’ block (from Utility sub_library) between the variable and the display or scope block. For the input data windows, the unit is always written in the prompt; in some case a multiple of the base unit is used (e.g. MPa for pressure) but the value is automatically transformed inside the block.
